Dragon Fund Campaign

Welcome to another great year at the School at St George Place!

The PTO is a group of parents, teachers and staff from our school. We work together to support our school by providing financial and volunteer support. Our fundraising efforts are vitally important in the current climate of district budget cuts.

In effort to curb some of the smaller frequent fundraisers we are starting an annual Dragons Fund campaign. Funds raised in this campaign will help us get the year started.

These donations help support the school through:

-Field Trips for every grade level

-Classroom supplies

-IB training for staff

-Field day fun

-Teacher appreciation

The PTO is a non profit 501c3 organization. Donations are tax deductible. You may be able to increase your donation if your place of work participates in a “Corporate Matching” program. Consider contacting you HR department to see if this is available.

Thank you for your support!

Donate to the Dragon Fund

Donate to our annual Dragon Fund! This campaign helps us start the school year off right.

VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools)

Anyone who wants to volunteer on our school campus or on field trips will need to be VIPS approved each school year.

Go to to register.

All information is now entered online and you no longer have to bring your ID to the front desk to finish the registration. This can take a few weeks so it is always best to do it at the beginning of the school year.

Scrips Program

ScripThe Scrips Program is a new program that raises money for the school thru your purchase of gift cards for everyday items or gifts.

The Basics of a Scrip Program

  • Individuals buy retail gift cards through the PTO scrip program at face value.
  • They choose from nearly 400 national retail stores where they already shop. Click here for a full retail list.
  • The PTO buys the gift cards at 1-13% less than face value (varies by retailer).
  • The difference between face value and what the PTO pays = PTO earnings.
  • The fundraising has begun!

For more information on ordering gift cards or registering directly online thru the Scrips program, please click here.

What is the purpose of the PTO?

Dragon LogoThe PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) was developed for the following reasons:

  • Help fill in the budget gap between the district funding and what the school needs to excel
  • Assist teachers and school administration in various daily activities (making copies, laminating projects, volunteering in the classroom etc.)
  • Assist in developing a community amongst the School at St. George faculty, students and parents

How can you help?  The PTO needs your time, funds or creativity!  The first step is to see what areas you are interested in – please check out the various volunteer opportunities.
