School Uniform Policy

New School Uniform Policy
Effective August 2015

Navy blue polo style shirts or dresses are to be worn on Mondays.  These can be any brand OR the official embroidered School at St. George Place IB logo navy polo sold by the SGP PTO.

All other days of the week, students will wear School at St. George Place t-shirts which include either IB Learner Profile shirts or Spirit shirts. These t-shirts are durable, affordable, and must be purchased from the SGP PTO.   Spirit shirts should be worn for field trips.

Uniform bottoms are still khaki pants, skirts, or shorts. Jeans may be worn on Fridays.
For more information please see the full detail.

Scrips Program

ScripThe Scrips Program is a new program that raises money for the school thru your purchase of gift cards for everyday items or gifts.

The Basics of a Scrip Program

  • Individuals buy retail gift cards through the PTO scrip program at face value.
  • They choose from nearly 400 national retail stores where they already shop. Click here for a full retail list.
  • The PTO buys the gift cards at 1-13% less than face value (varies by retailer).
  • The difference between face value and what the PTO pays = PTO earnings.
  • The fundraising has begun!

For more information on ordering gift cards or registering directly online thru the Scrips program, please click here.

What is the purpose of the PTO?

Dragon LogoThe PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) was developed for the following reasons:

  • Help fill in the budget gap between the district funding and what the school needs to excel
  • Assist teachers and school administration in various daily activities (making copies, laminating projects, volunteering in the classroom etc.)
  • Assist in developing a community amongst the School at St. George faculty, students and parents

How can you help?  The PTO needs your time, funds or creativity!  The first step is to see what areas you are interested in – please check out the various volunteer opportunities.
